3. Polynomials

polynomial is an algebraic expression made up of variables, constants, and coefficients combined using addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Examples include expressions like 2x + 3, x² + 5x + 6, and x³ – 2x² + x. In this chapter, students learn about different types of polynomials such as linear, quadratic, and cubic polynomials, based on the highest power of the variable.

The lesson also introduces important concepts such as zeros of a polynomial, factorization, and the Remainder Theorem. Students learn how the graph of a polynomial helps determine its zeros and understand the relationship between algebraic expressions and graphical representation. This chapter builds a strong foundation for further studies in algebra and mathematical problem-solving.
